She was born in Horton, Kansas; her parents were Charles and Augusta Smith. Margy attended schools in Kansas and graduated from Emporia State with a degree in medical technology.
She is survived by her life partner Linda Bain; her son Travis Prentice; sister Kay Gerjarusak; brothers Charles and John (Sandie) Smith; grandchildren Madison and Braiden Prentice.
She worked in the medical field, then started her own business in Los Angeles. After she retired she enjoyed RVING, golf, biking, reading, and her friends.
Her family and friends will dearly miss her.
