Julia Frances Sheerin (Julie) Obituary

Chandler, AZ - Julia (Julie) Frances Sheerin, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026, with her daughter, Christy, and son-in-law, Ed, at her side. She was born on April 2, 1935, in Quincy, Massachusetts, to George and Mary Perrone. During her senior year of high school, her family moved to California, where she graduated from Manual Arts High School in 1952. She later earned her associate's degree from Los Angeles City College.

Julie had a long and successful career as an executive secretary at Litton Data Systems, where she worked for over 20 years. Earlier in her career, she worked for AirResearch, NBC, the Sheriff's Department, and California State University, Northridge. She was an avid bridge player and achieved the distinction of Life Master in contract bridge. Julie loved spending time with her family, lunches with friends, playing bridge, and going to the movies. In her "second act," she landed the perfect job: getting paid to go to the movies and report on audience reactions, a role she thoroughly enjoyed. In 2021, Julie relocated to Arizona to be closer to her brother and granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy; her son-in-law, Ed; her granddaughter, Mackenzie; her grandson-in-law, Brooks; her great-grandson, Easton; her brother, George; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward; her father, George; her mother, Mary; and her sister, Gail. She will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life memorial will be held later this year.
